Award Recognizes DA Hoovler’s Efforts and Commitment to Quality of Life in Orange County

Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler received the 2025 District Attorney of the Year Award from the New York City-based Civil Aid Services, a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist governmental agencies in cases of natural disaster, provide emergency aid to the needy, provide for community safety, and other community-related services, including providing first aid and CPR training to its members.  The award recognized DA Hoovler’s “dedication, untiring efforts and commitment to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our community.”  The Commissioner of the Civil Aid Services, New York State Assemblyman William Colton, also personally recognized DA Hoovler.

“I know the strength of our community lies not only in the fortitude of our leaders, but in the commitment we have to each other as neighbors,” said District Attorney Hoovler. “Vital non-profit organizations such as the Civil Aid Services provide critical support to the public in times of need.  To be recognized by this organization is an honor and one that I am proud to receive on behalf of the people of Orange County.”
